With planning a wedding comes many questions! Below are some of the most frequently asked questions I've received from couples over the years. If you have a question that you can't find below, don't hesitate to reach out.

Will you travel for our shoot/ wedding? is there a cost?

How long have you been shooting weddings? How'd you get started?

You bet! I love travelling. Planes, trains, automobiles, ferries... you name it, I'll take it to get to you.

Travel costs vary, and will depend on where we're headed. Typically couples cover two nights of accommodation and the mode of transportation to and from. I'm happy to take care of all my own travel plans!

I believe in quality over quantity, and will be sending you all the amazing photos that tell the story of your day best.

For every hour that I shoot you can expect to receive ~75 edited photos. That means an 8 hour wedding day will typically have around 600 photos in the final gallery. I also hand pick 100+ photos to edit in black and white for you.

For engagement/ couples shoots you can expect to receive 100+ edited images.

It's been a hot moment! I've been shooting weddings full-time since 2017.

Before that I second shot weddings for some lovely photographers in Canada and the US, which is how I came to really love shooting weddings.

Being part of such a momentous day and celebrating alongside amazing couples is... the best.

Do you work with a second photographer?

Do you want us to send you a photo list for our wedding?

Will you photoshop us?

My general rule of thumb: if it won't be there in two weeks, I'll edit it out. This essentially covers things like blemishes, bruises, scratches, etc. Skin smoothing is something I also do from time to time when it's needed!

I love photos that show all angles and sides to you, but if there is something you are particularly self conscious about, just let me know and I'll certainly take that into consideration when shooting!

Yes, from time to time! Since every wedding and couple is different, we can definitely add on a second shooter if needed.

I typically suggest having a second photographer if:

- Your wedding is on a tight timeline

- Your guest list is over 120 people

- Having a lot of guest photos is of high importance to you

Your family photo list is the only one I need, the rest I've got covered!

A few weeks before the wedding I'll ask you to send me your final family photo list. Having this ensures we don't miss anyone, and you can focus on giving out hugs instead of coming up with groupings on the spot.

what do we wear for photos? what if the weather is bad?

Do you give out raw photos from our shoot/ wedding?

What is your editing turnaround time?

For couples/ engagement shoots: 3-4 weeks

For elopements/ weddings: 8-12 weeks

This may be longer than some other photographers, but over the last few years I have come to find this works best with my busy schedule of shooting + travelling. Each and every gallery that I send out is given the time + attention it deserves, and rushing to edit your photos is not something I will ever do.

As for the weather -- It's always best to keep an open mind and we will embrace whatever the day brings. Buuut if it's particularly miserable outside (and my gear could take a hit) we can reschedule to another date.

Editing is where the real magic happens with your photos, so no RAW files are given to my couples. Although the RAW's are beautiful as well, they are only one step in creating the amazing final edited images you'll be receiving.
